主講人介紹：周賢忠教授為生物統計學專家，主要研究興趣為生物製藥之統計方法發展與應用，目前任職於美國杜克大學生物統計與生物資訊學系。周博士畢業於國立台灣大學數學系，其後赴美進修，於1985年取得美國威斯康辛大學生物統計學博士。周博士之產、學、研經驗甚豐，曾擔任美國Millennium Pharmaceuticals, Inc.副總裁，並於2004年10月於本院生物統計與生物資訊研究組擔任特聘講座教授，協助本院建立臨床試驗資訊管理系統之認證。

周教授著作等身，共發表超過200篇之研究論文以及19冊專書，其「Controversial Statistical Issues in Clinical Trials」專書已於上月出版。此次周教授受邀前來本院專題演講，即與大家分享此著作之精采內容，包括：Appropriateness of hypotheses、Instability of sample size calculation、Integrity of blinding、Clinical strategy for endpoint selection、Impact of protocol amendments、Feasibility of adaptive design methods、Independence of Independent Data Monitoring Committee、Sample size calculation in global clinical trials、Lost-in-translation in translational research、Probability of success等，歡迎線上觀看。
