Position Open: Director, National Institute of Cancer Research


Applications and nominations are invited for the position of Director of National Institute of Cancer Research at the National Health Research Institutes (NHRI), Taiwan. The Director is responsible for supervision of all intramural programs (including clinical, basic research, and training) within the institute, as well as for research collaboration with other divisions and institutions. Prospective candidates should have strong organizational, communicative, and administrative skills, as well as the ability to interact effectively with others at all levels inside and outside of NHRI. Applicants should have an M.D., Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. in biomedical sciences with a demonstrated record of productive and independent research program in cancer, including translational aspects.

Familiarity with Taiwan’s scientific and medical community, proficiency in Chinese language, the ability to work effectively in Taiwan’s research environment are preferred.

Interested applicants are asked to submit a complete curriculum vitae, reprints of three selected publications, as well as a statement of research expertise and administrative experience (one or two pages). In addition, please arrange three letters of reference to be sent to:
