• 張敬仁 教授 (J.-R. Zhang, Ph.D.)
  主要研究肺炎球菌 (Streptococcus pneumoniae) 和結核桿菌 (Mycobacterium tuberculosis) 等 病原性細菌的致病機理。科研範圍包括運用分子遺傳學和分子生物學方法發現致病菌的毒力因數。 利用細胞培養和實驗動物模型來研究毒力因數如何與宿主相互作用來幫助致病菌逃避宿主的免疫系統， 增強致病菌的感染性和毒力水準。進一步探討將新發現的致病機理運用於新型抗菌藥物和疫苗的研製 來提高傳染病的治療和預防。
